Integrity seeks a Technical Advisor with extensive experience in research methodologies for a four-month study examining community resilience in Jordan.
Role Description:
The Technical Advisor will provide expert technical assistance to ensure the effective oversight and implementation of Integrity’s methodology, tools, and deliverables.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the research team to deliver Political Economy Analyses (PEA) . The Technical Advisor will oversee the design of these deliverables, as well as analysis and reporting.
• Support desk-based research and document review during inception phase to inform the design of the PEA approach and methodology.
• Design, draft and modify a PEA-led qualitative analysis framework and appropriate data collection tools, assist with reviewing and developing data collection instruments, and quality assure tools and methodology of implementation.
• Provide quality assurance of draft and final products.
• Support with training the project team in conflict-sensitive qualitative data collection methodologies.
Skills and experience profile
• Experience in conducting PEA research in Jordan or the MENA region.
• Excellent English writing skills and experience in report writing for international clients, especially UK government stakeholders.
• Strong management and people skills, highly organised and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in conducting research to support development programming, with at least 3 years of experience in designing and delivering PEA-type studies and assessments.
• A minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant subject such as economics, political science, international relations, sociology, social anthropology, international development, conflict and peace studies or a related subject.
• Fluency in Arabic is preferred, but not required.
