In the framework of the Quality Education Support Programme in Tajikistan, the European Union is financing a technical assistance project supporting the Ministry of Education and Science in the improvement of service delivery in the areas of In-Service Teacher Training, Learning Assessment, and Planning, Budgeting and Monitoring.
The project will support policy development and the implementation of activities in the above mentioned areas working in close collaboration with the Preschool and General Secondary Education departments, Economics and Planning department, Internal Audit department, and the Finance and Accounting department of the Ministry.
The project should start in January 2017 and will be implemented over 42 months.
The expert team will include experts in the fields of:
- Technical assistance piloting and coordination
- Teacher training
- Learning Assessment
- Planning, budgeting and monitoring in the field of education
The experts should have the following profile:
- A Master's degree in a field related to the Education sector
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the education sector, managing, monitoring or developing programmes/projects at the international level, possibly in developing countries
- Proven experience in education policy development including teacher training programmes, learning assessments systems or education planning strategies
- Experience in technical assistance projects in the region
- Experience with EU-funded projects
- Knowledge of Russian and/or Tadjik language would be an asset
